This candleholder combines the age-old ritual of eating by candlelight, with man’s inner desire to play. Shaped like tetris-blocks, the Siluet candleholder can be assembled by the user into an endless possibility of combinations, to create sculptural compositions on the tabletop. Inspired by the ancient game of Spillikans, it is made up of a series of identical polished aluminium bars, each one lying on its side and holding a single red candle. Each Spilli (Italian for pin) has a reassuring weight and can be used and displayed on its own. Grouped together, the design becomes both a game and a joyful reinterpretation of the traditional candelabra. From formally geometric to utterly chaotic, every assembly reflects the person who builds it.
